THE APPARATUS Part Ways With Guitarist
September 8, 2005Norwegian melodic death metalers THE APPARATUS have parted ways with co-founding member and songwriter Øystein Iversen due to "irreconcilable differences" with the rest of the band. "It is now settled that the remaining members will continue as THE APPARATUS," reads a posting on the group's web site. "The band would like to thank Øystein (and certain members of his family) for 6 years of hard work and support.
"THE APPARATUS is about to enter pre-production and song writing for the follow-up to [the debut album] 'Heathen Agenda' [2004]. The new material sounds as a continuation of our previous work, but this time with a bigger emphasis on the different styles of music we play, meaning the heavy stuff will be heavier than before, the same goes for the more melodic elements, like synths and clean vocals. Expect a more varied, heavier, more aggressive and melodic album in the follow-up to 'Heathen Agenda', as of yet untitled.
"Øystein is not wasting his time either, and has reportedly started rehearsing new material with different musicians for another album as well, with an as-yet unnamed band. Fans of 'Heathen Agenda' should consider checking out this stuff as well when it surfaces, so keep your eyes open."
